Challenge
The Global Head of Content was tasked with communicating how BlackRock manages clients' money to end users. Global Creative, the internal agency, had been brought in before my contract began and had developed several concepts. The clear frontrunner was an animation, but it exceeded the approved budget. 
As a result, the team faced settling for a second-best option that, while solid, wasn't the ideal creative direction.
Solution
Although I wasn’t hired to animate, I volunteered to take on the project. I was initially met with scepticism, since I was brought in as a producer and video content expert, I was given a test scene to prove my capabilities. After delivering the sample, I was asked to animate the full project, ultimately saving the EMEA content team a six-figure sum in agency fees.
I collaborated closely with producers, illustrators, copywriters, voice actors, agency directors, and project managers to bring the animation to life—a true labour of love.
